About J.Q. Hammer
An artist born and raised in the beautiful beach town of San Clemente, CA.
He began drawing at an early age, and pursued his artistic ability through highschool and onto college, where he was the head of the art department for his community college newspaper. Shortly thereafter, he attended the Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, CA.
People took notice of his unique art style and as a result, he has created artwork for various companies such as Capcom and Comic-Con International, illustrating everything from comic books, childrens books, storyboarding, white board business cartoons, posters, cd covers, game artwork, and has even dabbled in animation and body painting.
He has also had several successful Kickstarter campaigns, one of which being a western reimagining of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He is currently being published weekly in the The Orion, illustrating for their sex column 'The O-Face" and writing "Zero Point Zero," his own comic strip dealing with the "everday struggle of college life."
When he is not throwing ink down on paper, you can catch him and his artwork at many monthly pop-up galleries in Los Angeles, and he frequently participates in "Live Art" events at bars and posh night clubs from OC to LA.
