HAWKEN Design Contest

About The Contest

ABOUT THE CONTEST

The world of HAWKEN is an intense multiplayer mech combat experience, combining fast-paced first-person action with strategy for a terrifically immersive gaming experience.  The stylized, dystopian industrial world of cityscapes, mechs, and more is also a vivid realm full of artistic possibility - and we want YOU to get in on the action! WeLoveFine is teaming with Meteor Entertainment and Adhesive Games on our very first official HAWKEN design contest. Now it's your opportunity to build your own imaginative concepts into the HAWKEN universe for what you think would make the most awesome T-shirt design.  There are some incredible prizes on the table, too, including our guest judges' picks and the grand prize of a Toshiba Qosmio laptop and up to $1,500 cash!  So grab those pens and tablets, suit up for action, and show us your best HAWKEN-inspired designs. Good luck, artists!

Winners will be announced during the HAWKEN panel at PAX Prime the weekend of 8/30!

Many thanks to our sponsors on this contest: TOSHIBA, NVIDIA, LOGITECH and WACOM!

John Park: From a young age, John Park's dream was to become an artist just like his father and older brother. Countless late nights spent drawing under his desk surrounded by his favorite comic books and toys helped John realize that dream. John majored in product design at the Pasadena Art Center College of Design. After graduating, began pursuing his dreams and goals in entertainment design as a concept artist at Design Studio Press, working with Scott Robertson, who was featured as an artist in Alien Race. After his experience at DSP, John worked on various projects and games with many major studios, including: Studio Press, SpinMasters, NBC, Blur, OUTSO, Disney, Ghosthouse, Hasbro, Sucker Punch, Spark, Universal, Blink Wink Productions, and Mattel. John Park is currently the lead concept artist for Adhesive Games.

Darren Quach: Most famous for his work on Insomniac Games’ Ratchet and Clank series, Darren Quach is the consummate all-around concept artist. With an uncanny ability to render organic and hard-surface environments and landscapes, Darren is also an accomplished character artist. His credits include titles such as Resistance: Fall of Man, Ratchet and Clank, and Spyro. Darren is a senior concept artist at Adhesive games, and is currently working on HAWKEN.
